ABOUT THE COFFEES

All Arabica – of course, and sold within days of roasting for optimum freshness.

Peruvian (Organic & Fairtrade)
Our espresso blend of choice – great with or without milk. If you’ve drunk our cups of coffee, then you’ve tasted the Peruvian. It’s rich and full of flavour – perfect as an intense espresso or a creamy latte. In fact, it’s just perfect.

Guatemalan
Weanie’s favourite! Coffee from Guatemala has a distinct chocolatey taste, which makes it extra creamy and great with milk.

Decaffeinated Colombian (Swiss Water Method)
There are two methods to remove caffeine from coffee. One uses chemicals, the other doesn’t. Weanie Beans does not sell or use chemically processed decaff coffee. This one is the same as what you would have tasted at our market stalls – it’s creamy, with a slightly sweet flavour.

Ethiopian
Ethiopia is known as the birthplace of coffee – wild coffee grew here in abundance years ago. The Ethiopian we sell is from the Sidamo region. It’s sweet and tangy, and full of flavour.

Papua New Guinean
We always tell people that this coffee tastes exactly how you imagine coffee from PNG to taste like – it’s intensely fruity and a little bit wild. Not like many other coffees we’ve tasted. Because of its fruity taste, it’s not well suited to being made in an espresso machine. But it’s great in a cafetière or a drip filter.

Costa Rican
This is a lovely, nutty coffee. Rich and very versatile, it can be used in any variety of coffee machines.

Sumatran (Lingtong & Mandheling)
Coffee blended from two regions to get the best taste, this has smooth earthy tones and is a pretty versatile coffee.

Malawi
A fruity coffee with a hint of spicyness.

And the milk?

It’s fresh from Gilcombe Farm in Somerset. We use organic, whole milk as standard, but also offer semi skimmed organic for those who prefer their coffees skinny.
