Set on the mountain range of Apaneca Ilamatepec, El Molinito sits in the Santa Ana region of El Salvador, and is one of the larger farms managed by JASAL. Running for 6 generations, JASAL has always been a family business, and is now run by brother Jose Antonio and Andres Salaverria.
Despite growing on the steep slopes presented by the mountains, the coffee is still picked by hand and transported to their Las Cruces processing mill each afternoon. Once here, the coffees are carefully sorted and each lot is traceable to unique hillsides and areas of the farm.
Expect to taste chocolate covered raisin with a hint of coconut and caramel.
